D. GARY SOYA, M.D., FACC

D. Gary Soya, M.D. received his undergraduate degree from New York University, New York, New York and his Medical Degree from New Jersey Medical School (formerly Seton Hall Medical Center) in Newark, New Jersey. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinics in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He completed his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Brown University at the Miriam Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island.

While completing his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency, he was Clinical Instructor in Medicine at the University of Minnesota, Emergency Department Staff Physician at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, and a Staff Physician with Family Physicians, PA in Bloomington, Minnesota. During his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, he was Clinical Instructor in Medicine at Brown University, Staff Physician at the VA Medical Center in Providence, Rhode Island, Staff Physician for the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, and Director of House Officers and Staff Physician at Charleton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts.

Dr. Soya practices lnvasive and Clinical Cardiology with Amarillo Heart Group. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, and Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. Soya is a member of the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the Potter-Randall County Medical Society. Research involvement has included Hippocampal Studies of Short Term Memory, Tobacco Cessation During Hospitalization, and Nuclear Cardiology.

Special skills include: Right and Left Heart Catheterization; Exercise Stress Testing: Transthoracic Echocardiography; Transesophageal Echocardiography; Electrocardiogram Interpretation, Holter Interpretation; Temporary Pacemaker Implantation; Cardioversions; Nuclear Cardiology.
