ROBERT E. JACKSON, III, M.D.

Robert E. Jackson, III, M.D. received his
undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in College Station and
received his Medical Degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch in
Galveston. He completed his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at
Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Jackson’s Endocrine Fellowship
was completed at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington and his
Nuclear Medicine Fellowship was completed at William Beaumont Army Medical
Center in El Paso.
While serving in the United Stated Amy, Dr. Jackson
was Staff Physician on both the Emergency Medicine Service and Internal
Medicine Service at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. He
served as an Endocrinology Consultant and Internal Medicine Consultant at
William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas, and as Chief of the
Nuclear Medicine Service at Fort Hood, Texas.
Since completion of military service in 1988, he has
practiced in Amarillo where he is currently Nuclear Medicine Consultant for
Amarillo Heart Group. He has formerly served as Nuclear Medicine Medical
Director at St. Anthony’s Hospital.
Dr. Jackson is a member of the Potter-Randall County
Medical Society, American Society of Nuclear Medicine, American College of
Nuclear Physicians, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He
currently serves on the Physician Health and Rehabilitation Committee for
the Potter-Randall County Medical Society.
Dr. Jackson has received certification from Texas
State Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Nuclear Medicine,
and the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification
in Endocrinology and Metabolism. He has been published in "Clinical Nuclear
Medicine".
